In January 2012, former Premier the Hon Colin Barnett and former Minister for Health, the Hon Kim Hames held a ground-breaking ceremony to mark the beginning of the construction of the Perth Children’s Hospital.
On 30 September 2013, Premier the Hon Colin Barnett announced that the new 298-bed hospital would use the original 1909 name, Perth Children's Hospital. This name was chosen as part of efforts to promote "Perth as a major centre for medical health and medical research".
It is now Western Australia’s specialist paediatric hospital and trauma centre, providing medical care to children and adolescents up to 16 years of age.

The award winning National Anzac Centre is one of Australia’s most important cultural pilgrimages and overlooks the actual harbour from which over 41,000 men and women departed Australia for the Great War.
The centre is part of a $9 million allocation by the Barnett Government towards Anzac Centenary infrastructure initiatives in Albany, including upgrades to the Padre White Lookout and the Desert Mounted Corps Memorial on Mount Clarence.
At the time, former Premier, the Hon Colin Barnett said Albany held a significant place in history as the city from which the first convoy of Australian and New Zealand troops departed on 1 November 1914.

Liberal party flagship project, Perth Stadium, now known as Optus Stadium, is a multi-purpose stadium. It was completed in late 2017 and officially opened on 21 January 2018. The stadium has a capacity of over 60,000 people, making it the third largest stadium in Australia. The stadium can be extended up to 65,000 seats for rectangular sports.
Former Premier, the Hon Colin Barnett said the overall capital cost of the stadium and transport precinct was $1.27 billion — $918 million for the stadium and $358 million for transport — which was “on budget and on time”. This project has been a game changer for the State of Western Australia.

In February 2011, former Premier the Hon Colin Barnett confirmed plans for the project and funding which included $270 million from the 2011/12 state budget. The total government outlay would be $440 million with $134 million recovered from property sales to developers.
Former Planning Minister, the Hon John Day and former Premier the Hon Colin Barnett turned the first ground at the Esplanade Reserve on 26 April 2012 and the name "Elizabeth Quay" was announced on 28 May 2012 in honour of Queen Elizabeth during her Diamond Jubilee.
Construction of the inlet and associated infrastructure were completed in January 2016, ahead of the Perth International Arts Festival and Fringe World. The quay was officially opened on 29 January 2016.

Yagan Square is located at the east end of the Perth City Link development and is a major investment in the cultural and civic infrastructure of the city.
The Barnett government commenced construction of the square in February 2016, and it was opened on 3 March 2018 - it was delivered with a final cost of $73.5 million which made up part of $1.36billion of government funding for Perth City Link.
The project was named after Whadjuk Noongar warrior Yagan and removes the barrier between the CBD and Northbridge for the first time in 100 years.
