Tony Proctor is a widely recognized, internationally experienced professional with an academic background in commercial law, tax and accounting.
Since 2001 after permanently relocating to Broome he has owned and operated various private local, national and international trading, investment and consulting companies. He held President, Chair and Membership positions of NFP organisations including the Broome Chamber of Commerce and Industry . (first Life Member), Kimberley Regional TAFE and the Liberal Party of Western Australia contributing to the development and growth of these organisations over a period of some 10 years.
Prior to this Tony was a partner with KPMG Melbourne for 25 years specialising in Tax and Corporate Finance including over fifteen years of experience in major structured finance projects. He led major large-scale utilities reform projects (particularly electricity and gas) in Australia and Asia.
Tony was an advisor to governments and industry providing specialist ‘frank and fearless’ advice including as a former member of the Expert Group advising the APEC Finance Ministers Privatisation Forum on infrastructure and privatisation in developing Asian Economies.
Tony has recently relocated to Perth and continues to operate an importing business and provide business advice in a consulting capacity.
